Kalnciema Quarter invites to the Advent markets on December 2nd and 3rd from10 AM to 4 PM. On Saturday a children's book will be presented and on Sunday there will be an opportunity to make first Christmas gifts and decorations yourself. On Sunday favorite participants of amazing Street Food Festival will return and warm up market visitors with fantastic food treats.

Saturday and Sunday markets will offer creative Advent wreaths as well as candles and holiday decorations from local craftsmen. Visitors will enjoy festive music and will be able to warm up with hot drinks. There will be an opportunity to buy the most beautiful trees, find and even create unique and original holiday gifts, as well as get the most creative decorations for the Christmas tree.

On December 2nd from 12 AM to 1.30 PM children and their parents are kindly invited to participate in the presentation of the Uldis Auseklis Christmas Poems book "Gingerbread Whiskers there", which is illustrated by artist Signe Ērmane. Together with the author of the book, its artist and the main heroes, children will read poems, draw Christmas greetings cards, sing, eat gingerbreads and apples.

On December 3rd from 11 AM to 3 PM Riga School of Natural Sciences invites young market visitors to make Christmas gifts and colorful Christmas tree decorations from various recycling materials, giving them a new life. Children will develop their imagination and bring a festive mood to their home.

On this day, one of summer's Street Food Festival favorite participants will return and delight market visitors with various warm treats -  friendly and charismatic chef Javier from the Mexican restaurant El Santo X.

In the first weekend of December, we will open annual pop-up art fair “Art Hunt” that will make it possible to get acquainted with the works of the brightest home painters and graphic artists. In total, more than 500 works, including jewelry, cards, souvenirs, etc. will be available for viewing and purchase. A great opportunity to "hunt" a creative and unique gift to your loved ones!
