Day of the Restoration of Latvian Independence May 4

On May 4 from 10 AM till 4 PM we invite everyone to gather their  family, friends and relatives for a festive picnic under the blossoming white apple trees. Favourite farmers and home producers will have baked festive breads and pies, there will be fresh smoked chicken and fish,  herb buns, sparkling kombuchas, homemade wines and festive cakes. Craftsmen will provide the festive clothing and tablecloths – "LeLat" and "Sanpo.lv" will be hand-stitching national shirts and white linen tablecloths from different regions. For the first time this year, "DER design" will also be at the market with accessories made of washable paper and "Boka" with recycled dresses and jackets.

The Student Infantry Battalion will be there to provide a sense of patriotism with a presentation on Home Guard equipment and opportunities to serve.
