On July 18th Žoržs Siksna and pop-rock band "Dzirnavnieki"

Come dance on July 18th in the green embrace of the Kalnciema Quarter's apple orchard! This evening, we will welcome the pop-rock band "Dzirnavnieki" to the stage, followed by one of the summer's surprises – Latvia's brightest golden tenor, Žoržs Siksna. Together with the singer, the accompanying band "ARmaestro" will perform the program "Mana muļķe sirds," with backing vocals by the girls from the Jelgava Turquoise Choir Ensemble. DJ Ģirts Šolis will warm up the evening.

The new indie pop-rock band "Dzirnavnieki" was founded in 2023. Its members include Kaspars Pizāns (vocals and rhythm guitar), Ritvars Lauža (lead guitar), Ivars Janpaulis (bass), Edžus Kravais (drums), Jānis Rūmnieks (keyboards), and producer Armands Varslavāns. The musicians themselves say that through their music, they want to convey brightness, positive emotions, and a charge of energy.

The highlight of the evening will be Žoržs Siksna – one of Latvia's most beloved music performers and a legend who has recorded countless songs of various genres since the 1970s, which have now become classics and an essential part of many outdoor gatherings. We will hear these and other popular songs at the concert.

Come to the event hungry and thirsty – "Vīnu veikals un kafe" will serve wines and coffee from the Marche region of Italy, a pop-up sparkling drinks station will be set up on the veranda, and dinners will be prepared by long-favorite street food cafes. This year, we have planned many surprises for "Summer Outside. Summer Together." What and when exactly – we will reveal over time, so stay tuned and see you in our checkered square every Thursday throughout the summer!
