On June 1st Children Day

On  June 1st from 10 AM till 4 PM we will celebrate International Child Protection Day in Kalnciema Quarter. Alongside the weekly farmers' and craftsmen's market, on this day we will focus on creative and at the same time developmental activities for children; the market will offer children's clothing sewn in Latvia, accessories for young ladies and other useful things for children.

* From 11.00-15.00, the International School of Innovation will be open in the Apple Orchard, introducing STEAM and technology to young technophiles in an exciting way. The school will bring 3 kits to the market that will stimulate engineering thinking, fine motor skills and at the same time entertain young and old alike. "Lego Spike" will allow children to build and program their own robots and help them learn the basics of robotics and programming. "Beebots" are small robotic bees that children will be able to program using the buttons on their bodies. And 3D pens will invite young workers to exercise their creativity and motor skills.

* At 11.00, the children's and youth vocal studio "Nots" will entertain with a concert programme "Colourful Childhood".

* At 11.00-12.30, illustrator Signe Ērmane will lead an art lesson for children from 8 years old in the café. Together with the artist, children will draw their self-portraits filled with their own world. Registration and more info: https://ej.uz/367v.
