Market and Dwarf Workshop for Children on November 25

On Saturday, November 25 from 10 AM to 4 PM in Kalnciema Quarter, the weekly market will be held, which will mark the upcoming holidays. Local traders will delight visitors of the market with celebratory decorations and gifts for loved ones. Children are invited to take part in creative workshop where small guests will be able to create their own Christmas dwarf.

First Christmas decorations will appear on the market. Craftsmen will present warm gloves, socks, hats and scarves to different tastes and colors. Latvian farmers will take care of winter vitamins in the form of fresh vegetables, spices and syrups. Visitors will be able to enjoy tasty and lively dinner and enjoy the hot wine in the welcoming rooms of the Wine Shop.

From 11 AM to 1 PM in the gallery the youngest market visitors are invited to participate in the creative workshop "Christmas dwarf". The happy Christmas time is starting, so the illustrations exhibition "SNIEGA TORTE" organized by Kristīne Belte and Lelde Braķe-Klaverī welcomes children to create their own Christmas dwarf - from cones and with colorful hats, impish, playful and funny.

Entrance fee: 2 euros.

From November 21st to 25th, illustration exhibition "SNIEGA TORTE" will be displayed in the Kalnciema Quarter gallery. In the mood of upcoming Christmas publisher "Sapņu spalva" has released seven books, and each one has a favorite Christmas poem or song illustrated by another artist. The eighth set book is intended for a child's self-styled fairy tale or poem with drawings. Winter inspired artists Agnese Augstalkna, Lelde Braķe-Klaverī, Kristīne Belte, Sandra Sabīne Jaundaldere, Sabīne Līva, Sandra Vingre and Antons Vaivods have brought their Christmas tones in every book.

On Saturday, on the closing day of the exhibition "SNIEGA TORTES",  from 4 PM to 6 PM there will be a great opportunity to meet the authors and artists, as well as to look at the original illustration exhibition.
